Nine days on the western route, timed so the group spends two days at a tshechu, one of Bhutan's masked-dance festivals. Each departure names its festival, and festival dates follow the lunar calendar.

Meet your guide and the group at Paro airport, then drive about an hour to Thimphu. Keep the evening easy after the flight.
Cross the Dochula pass to Punakha, stopping for mountain views if the weather is clear. In the evening your guide runs through the festival plan, etiquette and timings.
A day at the festival in the courtyard of Punakha Dzong, with your guide helping the group find a good viewpoint and explaining what is happening.
A second festival day, with time to step out for lunch by the river and return as the dances build.
Walk through the rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang and a village, kept deliberately light after the festival.
Drive back over Dochula to Paro, around 4 hours, with a free evening in town.
Visit Paro Dzong and the National Museum, then a farmhouse in the valley for tea.
Hike to Tiger's Nest, usually 4–6 hours return with a tea stop, after a week at altitude.
Transfer to Paro airport for your onward flight.
