A sustained climb through blue-pine forest to the ridge near Jele Dzong, around 4–5 hours, to the first camp at roughly 3,500 metres.
Follow the ridge through rhododendron and high pasture, usually 4–5 hours, to a camp in yak-herding country.
Cross rolling high ground and descend to the alpine lake of Jimilang Tsho. Allow around 5–6 hours.
Walk past smaller lakes and over a series of ridges. This is normally the longest day, at 6–7 hours.
Climb to the route's highest ground, about 4,200 metres, then descend past Phajoding to the road head and a hotel in Thimphu.
Drive to Paro for your onward flight.

You get a room of your own, and the price we show for one adult already includes it.
